All That Came Before

This piece is about the beauty that can only emerge through undoing. Once a mark is made, it cannot be removed without leaving its trace. Life works the same way, we cannot go back, we cannot return to what was and expect it to be the same.

In the friction of loss and the weight of starting again, something new takes form. All the layers that came before remain: faded, no longer carrying the impact they once held, but unable to be erased. It is these layers that  create the depth and the authenticity.
